Jesus taught that the mark of His real disciples would be by their fruit. And Paul went on give a more a detailed version of what the fruit is. It's a personal mark, to show if I am walking in the Spirit, it's a mark for those around me that they are walking in the Spirit, it is also a mark for those who lead and teach, that they're walking in the Spirit.
